Why do we need to manage Credit Notes?

  • Many distributors don't pay for returned supplies in cash. Instead, they adjust the amount in their new supply bill.
  • So it's necessary to create a credit note to adjust the return amount in the next bill.
  • It'll show an entry of any product returned from the system in the product ledger so that your Inventory is also managed accurately.

How to manage Credit Notes?

Create Credit Notes using Voucher

Adjust the credit note (voucher) while making payment to the distributor


  1. From where can I create credit notes?
    • You can create a credit note while generating a purchase return or you can create a credit note from the distributor's profile page.

  2. Can I adjust the credit note partially?
    • Yes, you can write down the amount you need to adjust from a credit note and it will be adjusted partially.
